These Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings made with DAS BROTHAUS. By booking a course or workshop, you agree to be bound by them.
1. About Our Courses
DAS BROTHAUS provides baking courses and workshops for adults. All reasonable care is taken to ensure courses are delivered as described.
2. Age Requirements
Our workshops are available to participants aged 18 years and over only.
3. Health and Safety
- For safety reasons, participants must wear flat, non-slip shoes with covered toes.
- Please wear suitable clothing for a baking environment. We cannot accept responsibility for damage to clothing during workshops.
- If you have experienced symptoms of food poisoning or stomach upset, or have been in close contact with someone who has, within 48 hours prior to the workshop, please do not attend and contact us as soon as possible.
- Any open wounds must be covered. Blue plasters are recommended and can be provided on request.
We reserve the right to refuse participation where health and safety requirements are not met.
4. Dietary Requirements, Allergies and Medical Information
- We are unable to adapt course content to individual dietary requirements.
- Where lunch is included, a vegan option will be provided.
- As workshops take place in a family kitchen, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- Please inform us in advance of any allergies, medical conditions, disabilities, pregnancy, or additional support needs, so we can assess whether participation is suitable and safe.
5. Timings and Late Arrival
- Workshops start promptly, and late arrival may disrupt the session.
- If you arrive late, we will do our best to allow you to join; however, this may not always be possible if key elements have been missed.
- Where participation is not possible due to late arrival, refunds cannot be offered, as this would constitute a non-attendance.
6. Booking and Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking.
- Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received.
- A confirmation email will be sent to your nominated email address following successful booking.
7. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their own personal property. DAS BROTHAUS cannot accept liability for loss or damage unless caused by our negligence.
8. Parking
- Please comply with local parking restrictions around Germany Beck.
- Do not block driveways or footpaths.
- DAS BROTHAUS is not responsible for parking fines or penalties incurred.
9. Use of Course Materials
- All recipes, methods, and course materials remain the intellectual property of DAS BROTHAUS.
- Materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
- Reproduction, distribution, or sharing in any format without prior written consent is not permitted.
10. Cancellations and Changes by You
- Cancellation or change requests must be made in writing by email. We will confirm receipt.
- Bookings may usually be transferred to another available date more than 14 days before the workshop at no additional charge.
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the workshop start date will receive a full refund.
- You may send a replacement participant at no cost; please notify us of their details in advance.
- Cancellations made within 14 days of the workshop are non-refundable unless we are able to re-fill your place. If we do, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to another date.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
11. Cancellations or Changes by Us
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop where necessary.
- If we cancel a course, you will be offered either:
- A transfer to an alternative date or course, or
- A full refund of any fees paid (within 14 days).
- Where a booking was made using gift vouchers, replacement vouchers of equal value will be issued.
- We cannot be responsible for additional costs incurred, such as travel or accommodation, unless required by law.
12. Gift Vouchers
- Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Gift vouchers are transferable and may be used by another person.
- Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and cannot be extended.
13. Refunds
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method only.
- No refund will be due for non-attendance where we are unable to reallocate the place, except where required under consumer law.
14. Privacy
- We do not store card payment details.
- Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and is not shared with third parties.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK law. In particular, DAS BROTHAUS will provide services with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where we fail to do so, you may be entitled to a refund, repeat performance, or other remedies in accordance with the law.
